Marshal's on any motorsport event are key to ensuring the safety of all of us involved in the sport and the Woodpecker Stages requires a significant number of marshals both on and off the stages to run the rally.
To volunteer, you must be a Motorsport UK accredited marshal although if you are not yet accredited, you are still able to become a marshal on the event as we can buddy you up with an experienced team member for the day.
We have roles on the stages, on the timing teams and other areas of the event and if you would like to get involved, please contact our Chief Marshal using the details below.
The organisers of the Phil Price Memorial Woodpecker Rally supported by Presteigne Tyres & Phil Price Rally School are very pleased to announce that, in partnership with the renewed event supporters Phil Price Rally School they will be providing TWO marshals / radio person / signed on stage personnel from the event, with a FULL DAY experience at the Phil Price Rally School.
In addition to this Phil Price Rally School will be providing a marshal / radio person signed on stage personnel from each of the three stage venues with a high speed rally car experience at the Phil Price Rally School.
Clerk of the Course, is really pleased that the renewed partnership with Phil Price Rally School is enabling us to offer something really worthwhile and exciting back to the marshals / radio crews, on whom we all depend so much.
John Caine of Phil Price Rally School is very pleased to be able to support the marshals / radio crews in this way as Phil Price had been a regular marshal on the Woodpecker himself.

Please click EVENTS> Event registration and select “Woodpecker Stages 2024” to register for this event.
There will be no physical signing on, everything will be completed by Email therefore signing on sheet/s will be required / submitted for all personnel, which will be available to download from RST prior to the event.
Relevant stage documentation etc will be sent prior to the event.
To become an accredited Motorsport UK Rally Marshal:
Motorsport UK’s online training and accreditation scheme for Rally Marshals is part of the RallyFuture campaign to further enhance safety on UK stage rallies. Its purpose is to ensure that all Rally Marshals have a common understanding of their roles and responsibilities, the management of spectators and how to handle and manage an incident.
There are four modules: Roles & Responsibilities of the Marshal; Spectator Management, Incident Management and Incident Handling, as well as an online assessment. It should take a maximum of one hour to complete.

If you cannot remember your password, please contact the Motorsport UK Membership Services Team on 01753 765 050. If you are brand new to Motorsport UK, you will need to register for a username and password.
